Never too late

I stopped reading newspaper ever since crime reports populated the headlines. It is so sad to know that the effort of the government to bring down, if not zero out, crime rate seems futile. I really do believe that one major factor that contributes to these misdemeanors is addiction. May it be drug dependence or too much alcohol intake, both gives negative effect. People taking drugs or too much alcohol reduces one’s sensitivity and self control, not to mention damaging the right state of mind. Addicts won’t even recognize loved one’s whenever they are high on drugs or had too much alcohol intake.

That is how important alcohol rehab and drug treatment are to our community. Not only does it bring back a person’s hope in life, it protects the community from its negative effects.

It’s never too late to support and promote drug rehabilitation centers. We are fortunate that these providers have improved their services up to the point of individualizing treatment plans for each patient. The Cliffside Malibu for one, they have established what these people need in order to bring them back to their normal selves or even better. Treatment includes not only withdrawal from usage but also teaching self love by giving importance to physical, socio/emotional, spiritual and emotional aspects of life.
